VARANASI

Varanasi, located on the banks of the River Ganges and home to several important religious temples, is known as the sacred city of the Hindus. This popular city in the north of India has many religious festivals and beautiful temples, such as the Golden Temple (Vishwanath), the famous pilgrimage destination. It is also well known for its silk cloth industry, making it an ideal shopping destination. Other interesting activities for visitors are boat tours on the sacred river Ganges. In other words, Varanasi is a perfect place for coming into contact with the colorful and interesting mixture of smells, sounds and colors that are the essence of India.
