The Riviera Maya is the perfect place for enjoying the sun, waves, reefs and sinkholes along the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It runs along the Caribbean coast, on the eastern part of the peninsula, comprising the area that stretches from Puerto Morelos to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. Today a tourist corridor offering luxurious hotels and resorts has been built around what used to be fishing villages. You can also find first class gourmet restaurants, great nightclubs, exclusive spas, shopping malls and golf courses. The Riviera Maya comprises: Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum.
