Easter Island is located some 3,800 kilometers west of the Chilean coast, and its capital and only town is Hanga Roa. Also known as the “navel of the world”, it is renowned for its excellent climate and beautiful beaches. The Moais, together with carvings in caves and ceremonial sites, are the only remaining vestiges of the ancient Rapa Nui people. It is a magical place, with diverse landscapes including volcano craters, crystal clear water ideal for scuba diving and surfing, and a rich cultural heritage from the surreal Polynesia.
