Cusco is located in the south east zone of the Andes. The destination is also known as the Archaeological Capital of America or the “Center of the World”. It is a living historical museum. The ancient capital of the Inca Empire is one of the most fascinating cities in the Peruvian mountain range since, despite the Spanish influence and almost 500 years after the fall of the Empire, its singular architecture showcases its amazing past. The destination is even more important thanks to the popular trekking trail: The Inca Trail of Cusco combined with the ruins at Mach Picchu.
