The most popular beach area in Phuket is Patong Beach on the west side of the island, where you can also find most of the nightlife and shops. The bay zone of Phang Nga is perhaps the most spectacular of all. It is a magical setting with a large number of spectacular rock formations that rise vertically from the sea, some of which are more than 300 meters in height.

Phuket International Airport is located in the province of Phuketa, 32 km from the city center. Phuket can be reached by ferry and boat, and also by land via the city bridge.
