Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is a modern, multicultural city, located on the coast of the Persian Gulf. It has excellent beaches with warm waters, prestigious shopping malls, golf courses, sports marinas, luxury hotels and varied cuisine, as well as deserts, reefs and mangroves. Abu Dhabi Heritage Village is a recreational area with a historical open-air museum. There is also a cultural center in the city center that offers theater, poetry, dance and art exhibitions, as well as an enormous palace constructed in 1761. Visitors can go on 4X4 safaris in the desert outside the city, visit one of the many golf courses, ride horses or play polo.

How to get there
Abu Dhabi International Airport is the second largest in the United Arab Emirates and connects the city with airports around the world. There are bus routes that connect the city with nearby towns such as Baniyas, Habashan and Al Ain (the garden city of the UAE), among others.
