Fortuna is an ideal destination for nature lovers with a large number of geological wonders. The nearby Arenal volcano is the most active in Costa Rica; in fact it regularly erupts and spits out ash and lava. La Fortuna waterfall falls from a height of seventy meters and the thermal springs at Tabacon are an ideal place for relaxing in harmony with nature. Fortuna is a place not to be missed since it has many attractions and places of interest.

How to get there

Fortuna has direct bus connections to San Jose, Quesada and the towns of Alajuela, Puntarenas and Guanacaste. The trip from San Jose to Fortuna takes 4 hours, with a stop in Quesada City.
